Cocktail Red Wine Toddy 1/2 cup sugar 1 bottle burgundy or other dry red wine 2 cloves 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind 1 cinnamon stick 1/2 cup Cognac or Brandy lemon wedges (optional) Place sugar and wine in saucepan and stir until sugar dissolves. Add cloves, lemon rind and cinnamon stick and heat to almost a boil. Turn off heat and add the Cognac or Brandy and mix well. Place spoon in each glass and a slice of lemon if desired. Pour in wine. This makes 4 servings. ![]() Appetizer Tomato Sandwich Hors'Oeuvres 8 tablespoons deviled ham 3 tablespoons mayonnaise 1/2 teaspoon minced onion 4 large tomatoes Combine ham, mayonnaise and onion. Rinse, dry and cut each tomato into 4 – 1/4 inch crosswise slices. Spread ham mixture on half of the tomato slices. Top each with a second tomato slice to form a sandwich. Garnish with mayonnaise and parsley |
